I listened to it too and had trouble understanding, but I am unaccustomed to discerning through accents. I think it was handled poorly all around though and regardless of what happened McCain and his campaign should have been more up-front in handling it.

It matters what you think. :) And thanks for being respectful, even if you disagree. Frankly, I'm tired of reading the expletive-laden posts on Tumblr from people in countries other than the USA telling me if I care about the rest of the world or what everybody else thinks I will vote for Obama. No matter if Obama or McCain ends up winning it is probably going to be a close election.

Not understanding a Spanish accent over the phone certainly sounds like a good explanation.

Unfortunately I've heard the phone conversation. And I could certainly understand every word. Which does tend to make the explanation hold a bit less water, at least in my eyes.

Of course, I'm not a US citizen, so it doesn't really matter what I think.

It doesn't seem right to give Obama the benefit of the doubt when he
misspeaks and yet crucify McCain when he does something similar. Both of the
Presidental candidates have plenty of incidents we could make examples of.
You are free to think McCain is a disgraceful liar if you chose to.
Obviously, I don't believe that.

Oh, come on. He was exhausted and obviously meant to say 47 states, just shy of 50. It's simply ridiculous to insinuate that Obama, who earned a Harvard Law degree, is senile, or has no idea how many states there are. McCain, on the other hand, has absolutely no grasp of anything: Sunni v. Shia, Spain v. South America, strong economy v. weak economy. How is it possible that someone who espouses "family" and "values" is able, in good conscience, to spew forth such a blatantly outrageous and brutal collection of bald-faced lies? Your candidate is an embarrassment, as well as a liar.

What a coincidence. It gets aired a lot where I live, also. Which is just fine with me because I appreciate the awareness that they might be raising.

Your son is right to feel sorry for those kitty cats. He must be a compassionate little guy. I don't have any kids and I don't know how I'd explain animal abuse to a kid... it's a pretty awful thing to contemplate.

Thanks! :) I'm pretty excited about it. My preschooler is convinced I am pregnant with twin girls. Lol. A few weeks ago before I knew I was pregnant he randomly pointed at my stomach and said there was a baby in there. We were shocked later when we found out he was right!! I'm sure he isn't right about there being twins but it would be crazy if he is! :)

It is the update that is going live this month but isn't official yet. To be able to see it you have to add the developers app http://www.facebook.com/developers/ and then go to http://www.new.facebook.com/profile.php

It is awesome. But not everything works yet as far as I can tell.

I keep a cup full of those plastic pre-strung flossers in the bathroom. I get ones w/nice thick floss @ walmart. Then you can just grab one real quick and floss a little here and there whenever.

lol !!! because then you wouldn't have to keep coming back to the site and looking at all those ads!! Same reason they send you email telling you you HAVE a message but not what that message is :)

anyhoooo, I recommend Digsby which actually does check your friends status and clicks you right thru to your profile w/o logging in again and again. Maybe you'll like it.

I prefer Jaiku as it makes it possible to have true conversations. Jaiku is also overwhelmingly the best microblogging platform for anyone who owns a Symbian phone. I'm interested to see what kind of new developments are underway in Jaiku-team. I'm waiting for a mindblowing Google-mashup to surface.

Twitter is only good for feeding in linkbites, unfortunately.

Well, I just did something I never thought I'd ever do in a million years...made a sizable contribution to Hillary's campaign. Had to show my support, for unity, and she needs help with her debt. Her speech today was noble and inspirational, and I admire her unflinching fortitude. I know she will be a champion for Barack's candidacy, the Democratic Party, and all Americans, and that she will be a great friend moving foreward.
